Psychodynamic Counselling This stems from the psychoanalytic tradition and focusses on making links between past experiences and current behaviours. Attention is paid to the role the unconscious plays in shaping current thoughts and feelings, as well as our behaviour and relationships in everyday life. Systemic Psychotherapy Systemic Psychotherapy focusses on the complex network of relationships in which individuals find themselves and the context in which problems arise. Thought is given to the meaning behind the way we feel and respond to events and our relationships with others; how patterns came to be established and how those patterns can be understood in the light of current difficulties.
